This paper compares the effects of PWHT (Post Weld Heat Treatment) to those of vibratory treatment (and a control group which received no treatment) in improving the fatigue life of welded components. Vibratory treatment was shown to be superior to PWHT in extending fatigue life. ( Authors Submission to VSR On-Line Library.)
