Vibratory stress relief is used by an array of construction, manufacturing, transportation, industrial services, and government-owned and operated business establishments. Our clients™ applications for the VSR Process vary from very standard, to proprietary process, to security classified. Obviously non-disclosure and confidentiality agreements preclude us from sharing information or identifying some customers. In addition, business ethics require that we receive permission from every client before sharing their name or other data. A number of clients have given their permission. An industrial construction company specializing in the installation of mechanical equipment, steel structures boilermaking, and pipe installation. The VSR Process is used on paper pulp pump rotors, which are 300-series stainless steel fabrications.

A manufacturer of vibrating feeding, scalping and screening equipment used within the crushed stone, sand & gravel, ore processing, and similar industries. Some fabrications are thin mild steel plate (1/4″ – 1/2″) and structural members to 30′ L. The VSR Process is used, primarily, to lengthen fatigue life; dimensional stability is a secondary benefit.

A global leader in technology products for the pulp, paper and recycling industries. The VSR Process is used on doctor blades and backs (150″ to 300″ L) for the paper industry. These stainless or bi-metallic (stainless/carbon) workpieces are poor candidates for PWHT. NB: KADANT’s predecessor, LODDING ENGINEERING, developed the first vibratory stress relief system in 1961.

A manufacturer of custom designed presses utilizing VSR Technology Group contract service work. The VSR Process was used to stabilize and provide tighter tolerances on a 60,000 lb., mild steel press bed. PWHT would have been far more expensive, and required transport to a distant heat-treater. VSR Process time, set-up to tear down, was less than 2 hours.

A multi-facility full service fabrication and machine shop specializing in the steel making industries and sawmill facilities. The VSR Process was used on three, 21-ton lifting yokes to reduce production time and eliminate heat treating costs.

TRIALLIANCE FABRICATING
Mertztown, PA

A fabrication shop utilizing VSR Technology Group contract services to stress relieve 28,000 lb. trunnion bases fabricated of mild steel. The VSR Process was used twice on each base because of their unique geometry.

VOITH SIEMENS
York, PA

A manufacturer of hydropower equipment used in the power generation industry. The VSR Process was used on mild steel castings, which had suffered major cavitation problems, and required extensive weld repair with the addition of stainless plate.
